Match the message to where visitors came from: Google Ads, organic search, Facebook or direct.
What it is
Traffic source shows a different message depending on how visitors arrived: Google organic, Google Ads, Facebook, direct, or any utm_source you name.
Someone who clicked a Google Ad has already seen your offer; someone who typed your address in has not.
With Custom, match a utm_source value with equals, contains, starts with and more, so the popup picks up exactly where your ad copy left off.
Key benefits
Repeat the ad's promise in the popup, for the visitors who clicked it.
Add as many source conditions as you need.
“Only show to visitors coming from Google Ads”, and the settings update.
How it works
Describe the source to the agent in the campaign's settings chat.
On the Settings tab, add Source and set Traffic from to Google organic, Google Ads, Facebook, Direct or Custom.
Click Save changes.
Step-by-step setup lives in the Help Center guide.
Google organic, Google Ads, Facebook, Direct, or Custom for any utm_source.
Choose Custom and pick an operator: equals, not equals, contains, not contains, starts with or ends with.
A Facebook ad tagged utm_source=fb_spring promises 20% off. A popup with the same headline, set to Custom · equals · fb_spring, greets exactly those visitors.
