What it is
Time on page makes a campaign wait until a visitor has spent a set number of seconds on the page they're on, anything from 0 to 3600.
The timer starts when the page has loaded and restarts on every new page, so it's about this page, not the whole visit.
It's a condition, not a trigger: it decides who is eligible, while the trigger decides when the popup appears.
Key benefits
Give visitors time with a page before your message appears.
Spent at least 10 seconds on the page AND visiting from Germany: all rules have to match.
A saved rule is pushed to a published campaign right away.
How it works
“Only show it after 20 seconds on the page.”
On the Settings tab, under Who should see the popup, add Spent on pages and type the number of seconds. It starts at 10.
Click Save in the rule, then Save changes.
Step-by-step setup lives in the Help Center guide.
From 0 to 3600 seconds.
No, it restarts on every new page. For the whole visit, use Time on site.
The trigger decides when the popup fires; this rule is a condition the visitor has to meet to be eligible. If you only want “show it after 15 seconds”, the trigger is the simpler choice.
Yes, targeting rules combine with AND.
